We know it’s easy to say, but there is a great deal of interest in our discount and the funding from next April 2024, so we highly recommend booking your show-around as soon as possible. Come and take a look at the nursery.
GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR CHILDCARE:
There is NEW funding help from the government for ‘eligible’ parents which is applied to 38 weeks of the year, and that is the equivalent of a school year.
From April 2024, there will be 15 hours with funded support for ‘eligible’ working parents of 2 year olds.
And from September 2024, 15 hours funded support extends to children from 9 months old, again for ‘eligible’ parents.
This then takes a child through to the age of 3 years old, where what they call ‘universal funding’ applies. At this age, all 3 and 4 year olds get a minimum of 15 hours funding towards childcare costs.
But ‘eligible’ working parents can claim up to 30 hours for 3 & 4 year olds.

What does ELIGIBLE mean?
Each ‘eligible’ working parent or carer in a household has to earn more than the equivalent of 16 hours at the national living wage or minimum wage per week.
The government does not set a requirement to work a particular amount of hours per week, because it is based on your earnings. And you have to earn less than £100.000 per year, that’s for each parent or carer in the household.
How much is it?
We know it will be an amount per HOUR, and that each local authority may determine that rate. But we don’t know how much it will be yet and we’re unlikely to know that until much nearer the time.
