As part of our recruitment, we are searching for successful, experienced Room Supervisors for the Baby, Toddler and Preschool Rooms. Our environment works with a Montessori ethos and, if you are invited for interview, you will be expected to have researched this philosophy. When recruited, you will be fully supported and trained in the Montessori ethos and practice.

The successful candidates will already have worked at Room Supervisor level, and have an understanding of what it takes to lead a team who can offer exceptional education and meaningful play to children in a high-quality environment.

You will be passionate, enthusiastic and committed about childcare of an excellent quality and child development. It would be beneficial to be qualified to the level of Degree / EYT, but not essential. You will provide evidence of an excellent professional background and have first-rate interpersonal and leadership skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a complete knowledge of the EYFS, with good written and spoken English. You will be computer literate and able to use MS Word as well as tablet-based observation and assessment recordings.

You will be a positive leader and an excellent communicator who can motivate a staff team and children alike, and role model effectively.

The role will take on a 40 hour week and the nursery will be open 51 weeks/year.

You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure. The successful candidate will be qualified to a full and relevant childcare qualification at a Level 3 standard or above, with an excellent knowledge of the EYFS to an excellent standard, so that a thorough curriculum can be offered to the children in this age-group. Experience of Montessori education is not essential. However, it is expected that you will have researched the outline of the philosophy if you are invited for an interview.
