Explorers (Babies) News
This past month the babies have been enjoying the change of season. They have spent lots of time looking at how the leaves have changed colour and used leaves they collected from the garden in their creative work. The babies have also explored other natural autumnal resources such as conkers and used them in their play. Although the weather has been colder, it hasn’t stopped the little ones making the most of the outdoors. Afterall, who doesn’t like the autumn sunshine? Throughout November the babies will be celebrating Diwali and Bonfire Night, getting colourful and exploring light!

Pioneers (Pre-School) News
In October, the Pioneer children enjoyed learning about traditional fairy tales and autumn. They learnt about different characters, settings and story lines. The children immensely enjoyed recalling each story using puppets and they started to understand the structure of a story. The children’s vocabulary and storytelling skills have increased, as well as their acting skills, as they re-enacted each story. The children also learnt about different signs of Autumn. The children collected leaves, conkers and sticks for our nature table. The children used leaves for art and craft activities such as leaf prints and autumn wreaths. Next month the Pioneer children will learn about information and communication technology (ICT) equipment and different professions. They will learn to make links between different ICT equipment and how it is used in different occupations.
